With only a 1-1/4" hitch you're limited to 200lbs of tongue weight capacity and the hitch mounted cargo carrier selection we currently have is pretty limited. Correct, there are no supports directly under the mesh bottom of the Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # C18110.
The # C18110 has braces at the front and back that extend out (see photo) so the entire weight isn't supported only by the middle beam, but nothing directly under the mesh.
